Uganda

I will be posting about our trip to Uganda over here

I am heading to Uganda this summer.  So far all I know is the day we leave and the day we return and what immunizations I need to get.  The work we will do is up in the air but I am okay with that.  I am trying to get my mind ready for this trip – one that will be so very different from anything I have ever taken.

We have monthly meetings to talk about what this work will mean to us and how it will change our understanding of being God’s creation.  We are journaling, asking questions, trying to be mindful.

And of course I am reading:

Waiting:  a novel of Uganda’s hidden war by Goretti Kyomuhendo

Price of Stones:  Building a School for My Village by Twesigye Jackson Kaguri

Abyssinian Chronicles:  A novel by Moses Isegawa
